Janitorial and commercial cleaning leads in Michigan

Yes. LeadWharf finds Michigan offices, plants, clinics and campuses that want a new cleaning company on a regular schedule, and sends each qualified contact to one company only. Metro Detroit, Grand Rapids, Lansing, Ann Arbor and the smaller cities are all fair game if they are inside your area.

Michigan's commercial base still leans on the auto industry, but the buildings that need cleaning go well beyond the assembly line. Engineering centers, supplier offices, test facilities and corporate campuses fill Oakland, Macomb and Wayne counties. Grand Rapids has built a medical and office economy of its own. Ann Arbor and East Lansing run on their universities. We learn which of these you want, then look for the facilities manager, plant manager or office manager who decides.

The local market

Where the cleaning contracts are in Michigan

Metro Detroit is the state's largest market and the most spread out. Downtown Detroit and the Midtown medical and university district hold towers, hospitals and Wayne State University. Dearborn is home to Ford's headquarters and research campus, and Warren has GM's Technical Center. North of Eight Mile, Southfield, Troy, Auburn Hills and Novi hold dense office corridors and supplier headquarters. Many of these sites run two or three shifts, which means restrooms, break rooms and office areas that need cleaning more than once a day.

West Michigan is a different market. Grand Rapids has Corewell Health, the Medical Mile on Michigan Street and a strong office and furniture industry base, with suppliers and distribution spread into Kent and Ottawa counties. Kalamazoo has Western Michigan University and the medical device industry around Stryker in nearby Portage. Holland and Muskegon add manufacturing on the lakeshore. Buyers in West Michigan often prefer a local company and tend to stay with a cleaner for years once the service is right.

In mid Michigan, Lansing has state government, Michigan State University in East Lansing and GM assembly plants. Ann Arbor has the University of Michigan and Michigan Medicine, plus research parks along US-23. Flint, Saginaw and the Tri-Cities round out the I-75 industrial belt, and Traverse City and the Upper Peninsula lean toward tourism and health care. In 2023 the state had 1,712 janitorial services establishments employing 29,797 people. You choose the patch; we focus on the buildings inside it.

What changes through the year

Michigan winters are long, and lake-effect snow off Lake Michigan hits Grand Rapids, Holland and the west side especially hard. Salt, grit and meltwater get tracked into every entrance from November into April, so floor care and matting drive a lot of midwinter vendor changes. Spring thaw brings a wave of deep cleaning. Summer shifts demand north, when Traverse City, Mackinac and the Upper Peninsula fill with visitors.

The standard

Three checks. Every entry.

This is the whole product, and you can hold us to every line of it. A lead is only charged once all three are true. Miss one and it is credited, with no back and forth.

01

It is in your area

The building sits inside the service area you draw for us. Not the next metro over, and not a two hour drive at six in the morning.

02

They want regular work

They have told us, in their own words, that they are looking for recurring cleaning at the frequency and job size you set. Not a maybe, and not somebody collecting quotes for the fun of it.

03

You get the person who signs

A named decision-maker with a direct line to them. Not a receptionist taking a message, and not a general inbox nobody reads.

Questions

Questions, answered.

Still not sure? Write to hello@leadwharf.com and a real person will get back to you.

Can I get leads only in Oakland County?

Yes. You can set your area to Oakland County or even a few cities like Troy, Southfield and Novi. Any lead outside that area is credited.

Do you find cleaning leads at automotive plants and supplier sites?

Yes. Plants, engineering centers and supplier offices all buy contract cleaning, and we look for the plant, facilities or office manager who signs off. You tell us what size and type of site you want.

Do you cover the Upper Peninsula?

Yes, if it is inside your service area. Companies based in Marquette or Escanaba can draw their area around the UP, and we search there for buildings that want recurring cleaning.
